HostGator turned 18 the year I joined the team. A beloved, but undoubtably kind of weird brand, HostGator had gone through a major rebrand right before signing on at then Endurance International Group (now Newfold Digital). My job was to take the incredible creative direction rebuilt by our extraordinarily talented creative directors and partner up with them to determine what HostGator will look like in action.

HostGator Hosted
You ever get a really good idea, but you’re in the middle of a global pandemic? HostGator Hosted was created smack dab in the middle of the chaos of 2020 and was art directed while the teams were 2,000 miles apart from each other in Austin, TX and Boston, MA. The goal? To make hosting interesting and funny and continue the story of our own special brand of weird. We were nominated for a Webby for it, which we lost to Colonel Sanders (hilariously on-brand), but then were nominated again and won that one, which kind of evens it out I think.
Swagalog
Hey, who said you won’t do print work while working for a web hosting company? (Nobody said that). The Swagalog was a catalog of promotional material that could be used for awareness campaigns, giveaways, and also because they are really cool looking designs, if I don’t say so myself.
